Barnham Community Hall

Welcome to

Community Halls Advice

We support people running – or hoping to provide – every type of community building, such as village halls, community centres, church halls, sports pavilions.

In 2025  Louise Beaton and David Clark set out, in the first book to tell the collective story of village and community halls, how they have been provided,  of the challenges halls have faced and overcome and opportunities for the future. Published to co-incide with Village Halls Week 2025, the theme "Celebrating, encouraging and supporting volunteers", copies are available from all good bookshops, members of the ACRE Network or Amberley books: https://www.amberley-books.com/halls-for-all.html

TESTIMONIALS

“We are all of the opinion that our new hall would not be in existence, had it not been for your advice & support. Thank you.”  Di Stevens, Ashurst Village Hall Committee, West Sussex.

“Louise provided the encouragement needed during our darkest days, an external voice of reason to doubters and finder of solutions throughout the 14 years it took to build the new Rawson Hall after plans to renovate the old Rawson Institute were rejected by the lottery.” David Robins, Chairman, Rawson Hall, Bolney, West Sussex.
